What's
New
- Summer is winding
down and
we've updated our Calendar for September. Check
out the classes and workshops offered this month.
- Now you
can help Valley Oak Children's Services and support our programs
just by searching the Internet. GoodSearch.com is a new Yahoo-powered
search engine that donates half its advertising revenue, about
a penny per search, to the organizations its users designate.

is a new online shopping mall which donates up to 37 percent of
each purchase to your favorite cause! Hundreds of great stores
including Target, Gap, Best Buy, ebay, Macy's and Barnes &
Noble have teamed up with GoodShop and every time you place an
order, you’ll be supporting Valley Oak Children's Services.

California Kid's Plates help keep California kids safe. Proceeds
from these plates fund programs that benefit California's child
injury prevention efforts, such as bicycle safety, drowning prevention,
fall prevention, fire and burn prevention, motor vehicle occupant
protection, pedestrian safety, poisoning prevention, firearm safety,
sudden infant death syndrome, child abuse prevention and child
care health and safety training. Visit the

- Our CARES
program, in collaboration with the Butte College and Chico State
Child Development Departments, will be offering on-campus, drop-in
early care and education career advising services. These services
are for anyone related to the early care and education field.

- Parent
Central California, is a new source for resources and information
about issues affecting children and families. Valley Oak Children's
Services invites parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, educators
and anyone interested in improving the lives of children to join
this online community. Members can receive e-mails or visit the
site to learn about opportunities to get involved by voicing your
comments and concerns to decision makers.
Parent
Central will give families the information they want to receive
at any given time. Each person who signs up can choose the area
or areas that most meet their needs. We will have information
on child development, tips related to raising children or using
child care and more!
