Resource
and Referral Program
The Resource and Referral
Program, (R&R) provides free child care referrals to anyone
in the community, regardless of income. We maintain information
on licensed family child care homes, licensed child care centers
and exempt providers. When a request for child care comes in we
gather information about the family, including name, address, phone
number, child’s age, request of hours and location needed.
We then match the child’s need to providers available in the
area requested. R&R staff are available to answer questions
about how to find quality child care, or help parents feel more
comfortable asking the right questions when they interview providers.
We offer referrals only and not recommendations as we feel parents
can best determine what is appropriate care for their children.
One of our goals is to raise the level of expertise in consumers
of child care. R&R staff informs consumers of their right to
view complaint information or fingerprint exemptions about the child
care facility either at the child care location or by calling or
visiting Community Care Licensing.
